| Charlie Chaplin Charles Spencer Chaplin, better known as Charlie Chaplin was born on April 16th 1889 in Walworth, London, UK to Charles and Hannah Chaplin, who were music hall entertainers. He made his first stage appearance at age five and he went on to become one of the most loved actors of his generation starring in many silent films.
His Films included: Making a Living in 1914, The Immigrant and Easy Street in 1917, Woman of Paris in 1923, The Gold Rush in 1925, The Circus in 1928, City Lights in 1931, Modern Times in 1936, The Great Dictator in 1940, Monsieur Verdoux in 1947, Limelight in 1952, A King in New York in 1957 and A Countess from Hong Kong in 1967.
